This course is not just for racers – it’s for anyone who wants to learn new skills, refine technique, and build strength on the water.

Prerequisites: You must be able to stand up, paddle, and perform basic turns. All types of boards are welcome, though be warned – after this course, you might find yourself wanting a pointier board!

Train to Gain ocean : 3-Week Progression Course

Ready to level up your paddleboarding?
Our Train to Gain - ocean course is now condensed into a focused 3-week program with 2-hour sessions each week. Perfect for those who’ve mastered the basics and want to build real skills and confidence.

What to expect:

  • Week 1:
    Wave Catching, Balance & Reading the Water
    Learn how to spot the right waves, position your board, and maintain control in dynamic conditions.

  • Week 2:
    Beach Starts & Buoy Turns
    Get to grips with beach sprints, explosive starts, and efficient turning techniques.

  • Week 3:
    Put It All Together – Mini Races
    Time to test your skills in fun, friendly races with buoy turns and beach finishes.

Whether you’re eyeing your first race or just want to paddle smarter and stronger, this course will push your limits and boost your skills.

Train 2 Gain – Ocean special

  • Sessions start at Avon Beach

  • Runs wind, rain, or shine unless deemed unsafe

  • Be prepared to fall in!

  • Not for beginners – this is for paddlers looking to improve

  • No refunds

  • If we cancel a session, the next one will be extended

  • 2-hour sessions – we start on time, no waiting for late arrivals

  • This course is for sea

  • Weekly session for 3 weeks at 7.30 pm from the sup store
