The SUP School is based in Christchurch, Dorset, on the beautiful River Avon and Stour.
We offer paddleboard and kayak hire, beginner lessons, guided paddles and improver sessions for people of all ages and abilities.
Whether it is your first time standing on a paddleboard or you are looking to improve your skills, we make getting on the water easy, safe and enjoyable.
Our Story
The SUP School was created from a passion for being on the water.
Founded by Saviour, who has over 20 years of watersports experience, The SUP School started with a simple idea – to help more people enjoy paddleboarding in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Based at the water’s edge in Christchurch, we are lucky to have one of the best locations on the South Coast for paddleboarding and kayaking. The sheltered river is ideal for beginners, families and anyone wanting to enjoy time on the water.

More Than Just a Paddleboard School
The SUP School is more than just a place to paddle.
We also have an on-site watersports shop selling paddleboards, kayaks, paddles and accessories, so whether you want to hire, learn or buy, everything is in one place.
After your session you can relax with a coffee, ice cream, cold drink or snack, and we have toilets on site for your convenience.

Do I need experience to go paddleboarding?
No. Our beginner paddleboard lessons are designed for complete beginners, and the sheltered river location is ideal if it is your first time on the water.
What is included in a paddleboard lesson or hire?
All equipment is included, including the paddleboard or kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid and safety briefing.
Do you have parking and toilets?
Yes. There is plenty of parking available just outside our gates in the pay and display area, and we have toilets on site.
